SUMMARY: Change Your POV Podcast
Hello folks and thank you for joining us for Change Your POV Podcast. I’m Eddie Lazzari
And I’m Bennett Tanton
And this is the ‘how-to’ podcast about successfully transitioning from Military life into the civilian sector. It’s where we give you the knowledge and resources needed for your continued success after you hang up your uniform for the last time.
We also discovered throughout this process that in order for Veterans to have the best chance for success it was imperative that we also educate Non-Veterans about what to expect, and how to work with Veterans.
Andrew one of our listeners says:
“Although I am not a Veteran, I really like and respect the community of Veterans, and this Podcast really helps me understand Veterans a lot better.”
“Thank you for making this group and all the podcasts you do. I find it a lot easier to help connect with quite a few of my friends. Not trying to say I fully understand what they had to go through, but at least I have an idea now.”
IN THIS PARTICULAR EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN:
First, who are we at Change Your POV Podcast?
“I am a husband, father of 4 beautiful girls and a veteran of both the Marine Corps and the US Army. As well as being the co-host of CYPOV, I am the founder of the Warrior Hall Inc. A non-profit organization that provides guidance to transitioning veterans.
I am also the co-founder and co-host of Cigars & Sea Stories a Veteran podcast focused on highlighting veteran life and Veterans adding value to the world. I am a Peer Support Specialist and have dedicated my life to helping veterans live better more productive lives.
“I am a husband of 20 years, and a father to a son and daughter that remind me every day why what I do is so important. I am an Army Veteran of 10-Years, I served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II, Mar 04-05
Upon separating from the Military, I held many jobs trying to find my place in this foreign world called the Civilian Sector you may be able to relate
How are we qualified to talk about this?
Well aside from my 10-Years of active duty service as a Sr. Squad Leader in Baghdad Iraq, I also hold an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, worked in the Aerospace Defence Contracting Industry as a Manufacturing and Hiring manager, reviewed thousands of resumes and interviewed hundreds of candidates, many of whom were also Veterans.
I transitioned out of the military twice. First in 1996 and then again in 2003. I have lead teams in the military as well as the civilian world. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Security Management and currently working on a degree in mental health counseling.
I have been successful in multiple industries including security, insurance, nuclear and now in the service to veteran from homelessness to entrepreneur. And I’ve run my own business both successfully and unsuccessfully. I bring experience as a leader, trainer, and mentor to the table.
Why are we podcasting?
I got into podcasting because I liked listening to them and said I can do that! Little did I know what it involved but I’ve never looked back and never will! I love it!
What is Change Your POV Podcast about?
This podcast covers a variety of topics that we personally find to be critical elements of living successful lives as Veterans.
Some of these topics include PTSD, Separation and Transitions, Health and Fitness, Introspection, Finances, Becoming better Fathers and Husbands, Prioritization, Time Management, Productivity, Meditation and much much more.
We share with you our personal experiences and bring on expert guests to share with you theirs.
What can you expect from this podcast’s format and schedule?
We bring 3 different distinct episode types 3 days a week. We have Motivation Monday which is a short 3-minute episode that shares a famous quote then we give our opinion and take on the quote.
Then a Wednesday guest episode that runs for 40-60 minutes and highlights a guest. We interview Veterans and Non-Veterans at the top of their game.
On Fridays we do what’s called an ATTACK episode, ATTACK is an acronym because us military folks love our acronyms. ATTACK stands for actionable tips tricks and coachable knowledge. These episodes are 15-30 minutes long in most cases.
